Notice on Long-Term Visa Issuance and Visa Fee Adjustment

1, Effective on March 9, 2015, the Chinese Consulate General in Vancouver begins to issue long- term visa (maximum 10 years) to eligible Canadian citizens. Long-term visas are limited to tourist visa(L), business visa(M), family visiting visa(Q2) and private matters visa(S2). The validity of visa depends on the validity of the applicant’s passport. The application requirements remain the same as before. The applicants still need to go to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center to submit their applications. For detailed application requirements, please go to the website of the Chinese Consulate General: http://vancouver.china-consulate.org or the Center’s website: www.visaforchina.org

2, Effective on March 9, 2015, the Chinese visa fee for Canadian citizen is adjusted to 100 Canadian dollars no matter what type of visa you apply for. The service fees charged by the Chinese Visa Application Service Center remain the same.
