72-hour Transit Visa Exemption Policy

As of July 2015, citizens of 51 countries with valid international travel documents and air tickets for a connecting flight with confirmed date of flight and seat for a third country (region) can apply for the 72-hour transit visa exemption at ports of entry in:

Beijing Capital International Airport

Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport & Pudong International Airport

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

Shenyang Xianshan International Airport

Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport

Guilin Liangjiang Airport

Kunming Changshui International Airport

Xi'an Xianyang International Airport

Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport

Harbin Taiping International Airport

Wuhan Tianhe International Airport

Tianjin Binhai International Airport

Please notice that during the visa examption period,the passenger is allowed to move around within the administration precincts of above-mentioned municipalities. A traveller that meets the requirements may submit his/her request to the airline company that carries him/her. And the airline company or the passenger him/herself shall make the application to the border control authorities that shall grant a temporary entry of a passenfer meeting the requirements for transit visa exemption upon verification.
